We have a fantastic opportunity for a Document Controller to join a well-established and known business at their Head office based in Stoke on Trent. This is a newly created position due to growth and therefore a fantastic time to join the business. It will give you a real opportunity to add value from an early start. This role will suit an individual with a flare for working collaboratively across departments as well as a background in document control and project based businesses.

To be successful in this role you must be an organised person to control the Document Management System, provide administrative support, including auditing of ISO 14001 and 9001 processes and documentation.

Key Duties

  • Implement and maintain document control processes and procedures.
  • Control of the Document Management System.
  • Process incoming documentation (registration in the DMS, internal distribution, archiving).
  • Assist with ISO 14001 and 9001 accreditation preparation and audits.
  • Ensure the use of standardised forms and templates.
  • Assistance in the preparation collation and issue of reports and registers as may be required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Compliance Manager, including data input and spreadsheet management.
  • Carry out DSE Assessments whilst maintaining records and logs of required workplace adjustments.
  • General document control activities such as photocopying and scanning.
  • Providing support and cover for related administrative tasks as necessary.


Essential skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Proficient in M-Files (or equivalent Document Management System
  • An organised person who can use their own initiative and work well in a team
  • Prepared to travel


Person Requirements

  • You should have strong communication skills and be a confident problem solver. We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is a self-motivator. As is good organisation skills and attention to detail.
